A FILM POISED FOR IMPACT
Our hope, in telling an intimate story against the backdrop of a historic conflict, is that our film will capture audiences in a way that inspires people to think differently about the Syrian refugee crisis and spur the global community to take decisive action. For this reason, we are especially honored to have been selected for this year's Fledgling Engagement Lab, which brings together a small number of social issue documentary film teams along with experts and mentors to design and implement effective outreach and engagement strategies. As we work to complete the film, we are in the early stages of orchestrating our impact campaign.
Our mission is to:
Educate viewers on the 'invisible wounds of war' experienced by displaced people(s) (PTSD, depression, etc.)
Shine a light on the thousands of detainees and missing people inside Syria today
Connect women who are made sole providers by war, to each other and to allies so that they know they are seen and heard
Promote healing through the arts for children who miss years of schooling due to displacement
To achieve these goals we need to grow our team of supporters and fundraise for impact related activities that we will launch in 2019 when the film premiers.
